I have 3 peach trees and they were super prolific this year. This was six five gallons buckets worth of peaches ( about one trees worth ). I am letting friends and neighbors also birds and wild bunnies have the other 2 trees worth. From one tree I canned:
14 quarts sliced
31 quarts halved
13 pints jam
10 pints habanero peach chutney ! MMMMMMMMMMMM !
9 pints peach salsa _ so good with fish and shrimp!
I forgot to use gloves to cut up 1 habanero and 25 jalapenos ( also homegrown ) and have spent several hours suffering from jalapeno hands! Only cure is to wash your burning hands in an oil removing soap and super hot water, they are still sore!
Love to my boy who spent his last weekend picking peaches for his Mom and then starting school the following Monday. Then followed by a trip Thurs. to AZ to play football in the season opener tonite. Wish I could be there but will watch it live online. GO Gaels 2007 State Champs!

please excuse my messy sideboard I been busy canning, on a side note that sideboard and hutch were made and carved by mu Great Granddad.
