Not really made of candy wrappers, but magazine pages
I made a quick how-to for this purse. It's not perfect, neither is my clutch, but for detailed tutorials on sewing and folding the pieces, simply google it and you should be saved :)

  • How to weave a woven bag. Candy Wrapper Clutch - Step 1
    Step 1

Gather some magazines and start cutting out rectangles of app. 5x11 cm. Cover them with clear tape and fold them. Put them together in to rows of your desired length (depends on how big you want your purse). I don't have a how to on folding and putting the pieces together, but there are plenty on the internet.

Turn the long strips in to rings by connecting the ends.

Sew the rings together by zig-zagging through them, with a small piece of an old credit card.

Sew the bottom shut, and add a zipper if you want. You can also make a flap on one side and fasten it with a button or something else.

Very cute. I made one and it turned out great except I had trouble sewing the bottom and the sides together. The string would show through and it looked a little funny. If you could add tips of how to sew them better. And also I could not figure out how to add a zipper. The magazine was really thick and it just bent the neddle. Love the purse tho and love how you made it green very pretty! Plz help if you can!
