made from baby food jars and lids!!!!
I found a box of thirty baby food jars with lids in many sizes at a garage sale for $1.00. I thought what a deal and left as if I found something oh so special. My cats tripped me and left me home with my foot up....so decided to get out the box and make tea candle holders.

first thing i did was clean the jars and lids and I was sure to get off any glue as well. Once they dried I went through my tissue paper and ribbons and embellishments and glitters picking out how i was going to design them. I cut out the strip of tissue paper to cover the outside of the jar and then glues it on. Once the paper is dried it is time to finish it off with a ribbon at the top and maybe an embellishment as well. Instead of using the lid as a top for it I decided to turn it into a pedestal for the candle holder. To do that I painted glue on the rim and side of the lid and sprinkled glitter on it. One all was dried I attached the pedestal to the candle holder with glue around the sides with a dab of hot glue to hold it in place as it dries. When all is dried I like to paint on a nice layer of glossy modge podge. I hope you like the 30 candle holders I made! these will be Christmas gifts 2013!
