Buttons again.
 <  Image 1 of 3  >

After seeing a lot of button flower bouquets online I had to make one for myself!

It's a fast/easy/cheap project - if you think it's cutee you should give it a try!

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

All what you will need! If you don't have a leather punch just use a scissor or sharp knife! Don't have a wire cutter - bend and twist the wire until it breaks ;)

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Choose beautiful buttons of different sizes and shades :)

I've chosen 3 for the upper flower and 4 for the bigger one.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Cut your wire at accurate length - depending on your vase! You will bend it in half later, so don't cut to short.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Cut your leaves and punch holes in them!

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

Bend the wire. Slide the first three Buttons on to the wire, beginning with the smallest. Then twist the wire some inches/cm.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

Repeat the last step with for making the bigger flower. Twist the wire all over.

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

Slide your leather leaves on to the twisted wire. Then bend the wire to fix them.

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

    Tadaaa! First flower finished :)

These are lovely - I will be trying my own. You've managed to improve on the original I think - I love the looser arrangement on yours, and the leaves are a gorgeous addition. Great!

is there any other material besides leather that you could use- I want to make an environmentally friendly version :P

You can use every material ... paper and stuff.

For an environmentally friendly version you shouldn't use wire, buttons and a store bought vase either. :P Even things you personally can put into the right recycle bin afterwards - you don't know under which circumstances it was produced.
