I was in a second hand shop just looking around and I saw an old dress with those bautiful buttons, so I decided to buy it, so that I could make use of them. At home I bore small holes in two of the buttons and took earring hooks and my new earrings were ready! :)

what did you use to make the small holes?

well, I used a drill we have at home. Actually it is meant for drillig wood, but it functioned also when I drilled the holes in the buttons, which I think are made out of some kind of sheet metal
