The pattern calls for size 4 needles for the entire hat. I used the size 4s for only the ribbing and then used the size 6 needles for the body of the hat.

I only did 12.5 pattern repeats instead of the 16 that the pattern called for.

Also added one more decrease row - (R5: *k2tog) - before breaking yarn and drawing through remaining stitches.
