This was my first time making a purse. Claire's directions were great especially for a beginning sewer like me. The only change I made to her pattern was that I folded the yoke down so that It wouldn't be as tall. I made mine out of white light weight corduroy and polka dot cotton lining. Next time I'm going to use a heavier weight fabric and some interfacing on the handle for extra strength.
