Instructions

  1. Step 1 1

Pick whatever fabric or colors you would like. I usually like to mix in some sheer fabrics just to give it a cool effect.

Cut the fabric into circles ranging from small to large depending on how big you want this to be.

  2. Step 2 2

Start stacking the circles from larger to smaller. alternating fabrics.

Dont worry if they dont go together perfect or if one sticks out or something because this adds to the layered effect & will even out once you scorch them.

  3. Step 3 3

You can use either a needle & thread or hot glue to hold them together. I used the first choice.

I recommend doing a stitch or two every 4 or 5 circles to hold it together real good.

  4. Step 4 4

It should look something like this when you done.

Now you can leave it like this if you prefer the way it looks now if so just skip the next step =]

  5. Step 5 5

Being very careful use a lighter to slowly scorch the edges of the fabric.

You will notice the edges start to darken & even curl alittle bit but all of that is normal.

I dont recomend using matches or even cigarete lighters because then theres more of a risk of burning yourself.

  6. Step 6 6

It should look something like this, but also keep in mind no matter how many of these you make they will always turn out unique.

  7. Step 7 7

Now for the center of your flower.

You can either use little beeds to look like seeds(these can either be sewn on or you can use hot glue)

or you can add gems or whatever you would like =]

As you can see I have also added feathers to the back of some of them just for fun!

Have fun & if you have any questions be sure to ask!!
