I live in Scotland and I got mine in Au Naturale - part of International. Look in home stores, I'm sure Ikea was selling them too.

these are easy and super addictive!! you can find the marbles at The Dollar Store in the candles section and I use Mod Podge to glue them.. FYI magazine pictures work the best!

Great craft!! I love it!! I use these beads as tokens in a game I play, and now I can be even more original than I already am. :P

so, i'm super hooked, and i'm making them with baby pictures and such for the parents and inlaws for x-mas... you have any tips, though, for taking pictures of them? when i take a picture, you can't see the pic inside the bead because it's blurry (i guess because the top of it is domed). :(

Try taking your photos at an angle, that worked well for me.

These make great magnets! I've been using the same technique for years to make magnets. Tip: use a good heavy duty magnet, not the self-adhesive magnet tape stuff.

Oh I forgot to mention...when making these in bulk, it goes a lot faster if you get a circle paper punch the size of the beads to cut out the circles rather than cutting them out by hand.

Gift idea: Find a piece of scrap metal (make sure the edges aren't sharp!) and stick the magnets to it. Put the whole thing inside a cellophane bag, add a pretty ribbon, and you've got a great (and inexpensive!) gift!

Enjoy!

Cool idea! I've seen similar ones elsewhere and always had it in the back of my mind to make some too.

I love these, I made some too! I found out that by Google Image searching for pictures I want and then copy and pasting them into Word I can totally resize the pictures to exactly right for my bubbles!
