If you want to add a little something extra to the bruschetta, then try topping with a few pine nuts or pumpkin seeds.<br><br>

    Step 1

    Cut a baguette in to short slices and brush the top sides of the bread with olive oil and grill in an oven for 7 minutes.

    Finely chop the tomatoes and the basil, place in a bowl and mix in the remaining olive oil and the minced garlic cloves.

    Remove the bread from the grill when toasted and rub the top with a garlic half.

    Step 4

    Place a small amount of the tomato mixture on top of each slice of bread and serve.

i SO want one of those....yum..where I live they give you some bruschetta before you eat your meal for free...bruschetta is delicous and it's really easy!

update: I made it as one of the hor'dourves at Peter's birthday party this weekend and it was a hit. People started asking what was cooking when I rubbed the garlic on. I tried one before I served it and man was it tasty.

It had this cool peppery taste with crunch. I am so making more for me. Seems pretty healthy too.

in Italy we use to put the bread slices without oil on the grill...then we put olive oil and other ingredients!!

yes bruschetta is very good!
