12 Must Have Ornaments
 <  Image 1 of 3  >

I created these felt ornaments after seeing a beautiful set of glass ornaments in a catalog for over $80. So I used my love of drawing and felt and created simple patterns for this fun version of the ornaments. This is the tag that I put with each set I do:

According to an old German tradition, the tree of a newlywed couple should include these 12 ornaments to insure blessing and happiness for their life together. A wonderful reminder of what makes a happy home at Christmas.

Angel – God’s guidance in the home
Bird – Happiness, Joy, and Confidence in the shelter
Fish – Christ’s blessing, as well as fertility
Flower Basket – Good wishes and beauty in the home
Fruit Basket – Generosity and Plenty
Heart – True love in the home
House – Family shelter and Protection
Pinecone – Motherhood, Fruitfulness, and Eternity
Rabbit – Faith, Hope, and Peace with nature
Rose – Virgin Mary, Beauty, and Affection
Saint Nicholas – Unselfishness, Goodwill, Giving, and Sharing
Teapot – Hospitality
