Aloha!

this is my first how to! yay! ^-^

i hope i explained it ok...my english isn't that good

i love bracelets!on the pics are just mine but all my friends have a few of them from me(and i keep getting requests from people i don't know that well...maybe some day i'll even sell them)
the make a great gift too

now i'll show you how to make a simple one (the green/brown one on the pic above)

Add to Favorites Add Your Version

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    First,chose your colors.
i chose baby pink and orange.

Cut about 2 meters of each (some extra is always good)

    then fold then in half

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Take the folded parts and put one below the other and then clip them on something or just put something heavy on top of them

you have to have a loop on one side of your bracelet but you don't want it to big or to small

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

    take the first two

put the orange on top of the pink crating a 4

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

then put the orange thread under the pink one creating a loop like shown in the pic

  5. Step 5

hold the pink thread tight and straight and pull the orange thread to the right

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

    repeat step 3 to 5

orange on top of pink crating 4,orange underneath the pink, pull to the right

and you just made your first knot!
    congratulate yourself ^-^

    (sorry for the blurry pic)

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

now take the other two threads

    same procedure just swamped colors

put the pink on top of orange to create a 4

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

put the pink underneath the orange creating a loop

  9. Step 9

    Step 9

    and pull to the right

  10. Step 10

    Step 10

    repeat steps 7 to 9

and then you can see that the colors switched places

(sorry again for the blurry pic)

  11. Step 11

    Step 11

now take the middle threads (they should be the same color)

put the left one on top of the right

  12. Step 12

    Step 12

make a loop (just like you did before with other knots, this one is no different)

and pull the left thread to the right

  13. Step 13

    Step 13

and there is your first row! YAY! ^-^
    congratulate yourself again!

now repeat this over and over again until you reach your desired length

  14. Step 14

    Step 14

it's basically one simple knot repeating

*the left thread goes on top of the right one (making it look like a 4)

*pull the left thread underneath the right one making a loop

*pull the left thread to the right

with practice it gets a lot easier and you'll figure out how to make different patterns not just stripes!

when you finish the bracelet just pull the rest of the threads trough the loop you made at the top of the bracelet and tie a knot
