We all know how charming a bow can look in someone’s hair but a bow can look even more amazing when worn on a wrist. Repurpose a leather wristlet in about one half hour or less with this easy tutorial.
Use a permanent marker to color the outside of your leather wristlet. Since I chose a brown ribbon, I decided to match the leather using a brown marker. You may need more than one coat of color to even it out. Ignore the glue, I didn't end up using it.
Cut a length of ribbon and fold both cut edges in towards the middle, forming the basic shape of a bow. Cut another, shorter piece of ribbon and fold it in half. Use a little hot glue to keep the ribbon piece folded. Wrap the folded ribbon over the center of the ribbon bow and gather the ribbon just a bit in the center before using the stapler to hold the gathered edges in. Use a little hot glue to attach the folded ribbon section over the center of the bow, covering the staples in the back.
Use the exacto knife or a push pin to make a tiny hole near through the center of the bow front. Next, poke another hole through the leather wristband where you will attach the bow. Push the gem brad through the hole in the ribbon center and then through the hole in the leather.

Here's another view of the finished bracelet. I substituted a black gem brad for the clear one. It's very easy to change the color of the gem to match your outfit, enjoy!
