You will need two types of ribbon:
3 peices thin ribbon approximatly 2 mm wide(look at picture)at the length of how long you want your band to be.OR go to step three and read on

Another ribbon approximatly 3cm wide at the length of(depending on how big you want your bow to be) around 10cm long but it really depends on the proportions your ribbon is.

I used 3 peices the same length and planned to plait them but gave up and left them in three piecesand tied the two ends, but you can use a material 1-2cm thick as the band.

Make a bow by using the ribbon and it will make a rectangular shape.

Using a 5cm length of the thin strip fold tightly around the actual bow this will pull all the bigmaterial to form a real bow shape. Tie the thin strip very very tightly and then attach the thin strip from around the bow to around the band, making sure you placed it in the right place.
