$3 Thrift shop shoes transformed in to Awesomeness
I purchased these boring shoes (I like the style and fit, not the blah look of them). I decided to change them a little bit. I cleaned and primed the black pleather, painted them white with Jacquard Neopaque white, I painted 2 coats of Jacquard Neopaque crimson over the white. I used stretchy fabric on the toes and back because it was easier to form around the shape of the shoe. I applied an even layer of E6000 glue to the shoe and placed the fabric and streched to where it needed to be. I applied a very thin coat of the E000 over the fabric so it made it more waterproof (I live in Florida, it rains alot). I used the E6000 to glue on my trim. The bows are the contrasting fabric, trim and ribbon, when I made them I made sure that I left the back of the trim covering the middle open so it would slide over the strap that goes across the top.
