I had been meaning to sew a simple embroidery of bird silhouettes for a while and finally got around to it.

Using an iron on transfer pencil, I traced this design on to tracing paper then ironed this on to my fabric.

The birds were filled in with straight stitch

and straight stitch was used for the wire as well ( though as you can see it turned out to be quite wonky )
