    Put your jeans on inside out and pin down your leg to your approximate skinniness that you want. I used straight pins and poked myself a couple times so I suggest safety pins.

    Sew down the outside of your pins. take your pins out and turn the jeans right side out and try them on.

    If you sewed on the out side of your pins you should have room to fix any mistakes that need to be made bigger or smaller.

    Cut along the seam leaving room to serge or zig-zag stitch the edges.
