1. Step 1

    Step 1

First you need to get a hold of two botte caps, preferably the same kind. If they are a bit bashed up, bash them in to shape with a hammer. Make a small hole in the top, center of each cap with a stanley knife.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Slip jump rings through the holes on the caps.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Cut two short lengths of chain and slip the chains on to the jump rings.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Attach another jump ring on to the top of each chain and add an earring hook. Close the hoop and run off to the pub to show your friends.

I love it! I was thinking the look without the "lush" - you could paint them, or paste an image and varnish.

Hey Graciex, where do you live? Earring hooks are quite easy to get, check craft stores in your area. If you are having real trouble, you can buy some in bulk off eBay. Cat x

The best place to buy earring hooks would be your local craft or jewellery store. If you're really stuck, then try eBay.

I've found that you can also make holes in the caps using a box cutter. Just angle it and turn it in circles like a drill, and it'll cut right through in about 30 seconds!

:-) another one of my favs to make lol. Great minds think alike. I made these with bottle caps with hello kitty, pirates, and care bears... but I think I like your bottle caps more! Never thought of the chain length before. Keep up the amazing work!!
