Beauty Potion: Rosewater

  • Completed Project: Beauty Potion: Rosewater Picture #1

roses are red and violets are blue

has been used for centuries to sweeten food, drink and perfume. It is entirely edible, so you just drink it and wait for the effects to take hold…You could also put it in a spray bottle and use it in your hair or as a scent. The possibilities are endless!

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

First, go to the nearest park/backyard/neighbor's lawn/restaurant/whatever and pick about 6 roses. Make sure you ask the plant first/ It helps to have at least one given to you by someone who loves you. This could be anyone!

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Once you have the roses, pick all the petals off. Loves me, loves me not...
hopefully you love yourself, because that is what real beauty is all about! Tear the petals off and infuse them in four cups of boiling water. Cover with a lid and let boil for a long time, stirring occasionally. The extraction process is finished when the water turns a pale pink color.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Finally, use a coffee filter to strain the water into bottles. Put away in your potion cabinet or drink it in front of a magic mirror...

Like it says above, you can use it to flavor food, make perfume, wash your face, put in your hair, or even just drink like an old fashioned magic potion!
