Jess, I didn't notice any of them really lingering on my nieces skin, and she was having a lot of fun coloring her belly. But it all rinsed off.

Linsey, I've heard people suggest using Soap coloring before. But I am not sure how well it would work for a crayon. I didn't have any other than a pale pink color, so I wasn't able to try it out. But maybe this weekend I will give that a go, and see how it turns out!

I love this idea! I so want to make these for my little man. Is there something else other than food coloring that can be used to make the colored "crayons"?
