Smooth & Creamy Vanilla Cheesecake
This cheesecake is rich, creamy & very tasty.

It doesn't take that much time or skill to make but it needs to be cooked for over two hours and it must be left over night to set up.

It is well worth the wait.

  • How to bake a cheesecake. Baked Vanilla Cheesecake - Step 1
    Step 1

    Pre heat oven Gas 2/ 300 Fahrenheit.

    Crush biscuits, melt 3oz butter.

    Combine both and press into a 10" pan.

    Double wrap the outside of the tin with foil.

    Mix eggs & sour cream together.

    In another bowl, mix cream cheese & butter.

    Combine egg mix with cheese mix.

    Add corn starch & vanilla and mix well.

    Pour cheese mix on top of biscuit base. Place cheesecake in a large roasting tin and fill the outside with water (approx half way up the tin).

    Place in centre of oven for approx 2hours & 15 mins.

    Remove from ban marie and remove foil from around the tin.

    Allow to cool to room temp then refrigerate over night.

    Cut & serve how you like. With a topping or without it is delicious either way.
