About 3 layers of plastic bags fused together with an iron, as seen on many blogs.Then sewn into a shopping bag
I wore a mask to avoid breathing the fumes.

Those are great!! but what kind of bags are you guys using. I have done this many a times with bags of different thickness and I never have problem with fumes not to mention I have a nose like a bloodhound.

did u just sew them together? i kno how to make the fused bags but i wasnt sure if you just sew them together? please let me know thanks. :)

Thanks for your comments.
These are combinations of different thicknesses of plastic, the thicker layers being harder to fuse . I put a thin more transparent layer on the outside to 'glue' it all together. Then I sew the bags like fabric bags.
It's all trial and error! Hope this answers your questions.
