Redesign an old backpack
 <  Image 1 of 2  >

So I got a free backpack from a tour I was going on, and I didn't like the way it look (slash didn't want to obnoxiously advertise the tour company). Using some old acrylic paint and nail polish, I redid it.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

When you have an idea of what you want it to look like, remove first what you don't like. I removed the weird drawstring cord going across it, and the strings on the zippers.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Then using paint (or really, whatever supplies you like) get to work on your backpack. I painted a checker pattern using blue and black paint, so it turned out like this. Not exactly professional, I know, but I like it. :D
