  1. Step 1

    Ears
    With warm brown, ch 2, sc in 2nd ch, finish off.

    Repeat for second ear.

  2. Step 2

    Nose
    With warm brown, ch 2, sl st in 2nd ch, finish off.


  3. Step 3

    Head
    With warm brown, ch 2.

    Round 1: 6 sc in second chain from hook, do not slip stitich to join. (6 sc)

    Round 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12 sc)

    Round 3: (Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) around. (18 sc)

    Rounds 4-6: Sc around. (18 sc)

    Attach nose and ears by centering each tail around either side of a stitch and tying in a tight knot.

    Weave in ends.

    Sew on eyes.

    Attach hair with a short piece of yarn, pulling it through a small part of the sts on top of the head and securing it with a tight knot.

    Cut to length and fray.

    Round 7: (Sc in next st, sc2tog over next 2 sts) around. (12 sc)

    Stuff.

    Round 8: Sc2tog around, join with sl st in next st, finish off. (6 sc)

    Weave the end through each st, pull taut and secure with a knot to close.

    Weave in ends.

  4. Step 4

    Body
    With warm brown ch 2.

    Round 1: 6 sc in second chain from hook, do not slip stitch to join. (6 sc)

    Round 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12 sc)

    Round 3: (Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) around. (18 sc)

    Rounds 4-9: Sc around. (18 sc)

    Rounds 10-11: (Sc in next st, sc2tog over next 2 sts) around. (9 sc)

    Round 12: Sc around. (9 sc)

    Stuff.

    Round 13 : Sc2tog around, join with sl st in next st. (6 sc)

    Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing.


  5. Step 5

    Legs
    With warm brown ch 2.

    Round 1: 5 sc in second chain from hook, do not slip stitch to join. (5 sc)

    Rounds 2-4: Sc around. (5 sc)

    At the end of round 4 join with a sl st.

    Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

    Repeat for second leg.

  6. Step 6

    Arms
    With warm brown ch 2.

    Round 1: 5 sc in second chain from hookdo not slip stitch to join. (5 sc)

    Rounds 2-4: Sc around. (5 sc)

    At the end of round 4 join with a sl st.

    Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

    Repeat for second leg.

  7. Step 7

    Leaves
    With light sage ch 2.

    Row 1: 1 sc in second chain from hook, ch 1, turn.

    Row 2: 3 sc in sc, ch 1, turn.

    Row 3: 2 sc in first sc, 1 sc in next, 2 sc in next, ch 1, turn. (5 sc)

    Rows 4- 9: 1 sc in each sc, ch 1, turn.

    Row 10: Decrease over first 2 sc, 1 sc in next, decrease over next 2 sc, ch 1, turn. (3 sc)

    Row 11: 1 sc in each sc, ch ,1 turn.

    Row 12: Decrease over first 2 sc, 1 sc in last, ch 1, turn. (2 sc)

    Row 13: Decrease over 2 sc. (1 sc)

    Finish off, leaving a long tail to attach to the head.

    Repeat for a total of four leaves.

  8. Step 8

    Finishing
    Attach the body to the bottom of the head to hide the ending decreases.

    Sew the arms and legs on.

    Attach the leaves to the head.

    Weave in all ends.
