Okay so I'm new to sewing and crafting in general, so am trying to do little useful projects before tackling anything major...

Love the idea of upcycling an old jar and also of having a pincushion with storage for all the extra pins...

Bought myself a glue gun yesterday and made this plus a matching wriststrap pincushion (saw one on threadbanger and thought it was pretty damn neat...made up the design myself tho) last night after my luffly 7month old son had gone to bed...was quite fun and pretty simple and am a teeny bit proud of myself!

Used scraps of material and trimmings that I had lying around (I am a chronic opshop junkie...excellent to finally find a use for all the junk I collect for no apparent reason)...and if I'd already had a glue gun then this would have been a totally free project...
