I decided I was going to make pizza from scratch. In order to do that, I had to find a good recipe that wasn't going to be too sweet. I hate sweet pizza sauce, and most of the store-bought stuff, I think, is too sweet. I didn't have all the stuff the original called for, so I improvised and came up with my own recipe. Awesomesauce has enough of a kick that it can be used as more than just pizza sauce. I've been using it to dip tortilla chips in!

You will need

2 8oz. cans Tomato Sauce 2 tbsp. Tomato Paste 1/4 t. Garlic Powder ½ tsp Dried Oregano 1/2 t. Fennel Seed ½ tsp Dried Basil 1/4 t. Paprika 1/4 t. Salt 1/4 t. Cayenne Pepper 1/8 t. Sugar 1/8 t. Ground All Spice

Instructions

1. Mix all ingredients in a saucepan and cook on medium heat until bubbly. Makes enough to cover one 14" pizza.
