This necklace has a surprising background for a quilled design.
The beveled surface of this silver and black quilled design is actually a magnifying glass - ahem, something I may need in the not too distant future with all the close work I love to do! Meanwhile though, I shortened the silver chain it came on by doubling it so it wouldn't swing around too much when being worn as a necklace. The silver-edged black quilled design is sturdier than it looks. I glued the rolled leaves and on-edge stems to the glass with Crafter's Pick - The Ultimate, a thick, white glue that dries clear so they wouldn't pop off the smooth surface.
