    Scavanged cedar waiting to become a drum.

    Cut on the tablesaw with jigs.

  3. Step 3 3

    ipe and tigerwood

  4. Step 4 4

    all glued

  5. Step 5 5

    Sanded - Belt and orbital.

  6. Step 6 6

    varnished - tung oil

  7. Step 7 7

    Rolled and welded the rings, wrapped them in material and rope, and soaked the goatskin head.

  8. Step 8 8

    finished drum - 24" ashiko with fancy staves of ipe and tigerwood
