  1. Step 1

    Step 1

First, cut the top and bottom off your can and flatten it out like so. I used regular scissors but imagine that metal cutters would be easier.
You also probably want to clean the can too.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Next cut that piece in two and fold the edges down using the pliers about 1 or 2 inches like this photo.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Last of all, you can place some clear packing tape on the inside for added comfort. Be sure to make two holes n either end to add either a snap closure or a ribbon like I did.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

And Voila!!! You are no wearing your recycling!

Very cute! I am a little scared about wearing cut up cans on my wrists though.. maybe some other way to smooth those edges besides tape...

You could probably fold the edges over twice, eliminating any rough edges if it's too scarry for you, of course I don't know how difficult that would be. Neato, I always knew thoes cans had potential! I'm going to get some Arizona Iced Tea now...

Thats what I was thinking of! I almost bought this watch (this was before my crafting phase) from my city's art gallery, that a local artist made, with a Andy Warhol pic. 90$ CDN! And now that I think of it, it looked like one out of a cereal box! :P
