I measured it with my longest pencil to make sure it would at least hold that, but my friend said she would maybe use it for her makeup brushes. I love the shiny purple buttons I found at this great store on Queen St. West that sells ONLY buttons. It's heaven. Although a bit expensive. The fabric I found on sale at Fabricland a few weeks ago and I have it also in green, blue and pink. Can't wait to make more with their matching shiny buttons!
