So I bought these cheap army green converse, and started brainstorming how to doctor them up. Originally I wanted to do them all steampunk-y but then changed to a more apocalypse feel. The quote is from Dollhouse (Joss Whedon. enough said). The complete quote is "I have seen the future, Mr Lankton, and it it not for the weak." Gotta love Adelle. Anyways, I abridged the quote. Then I drew the pictures, made em into stencils (with posterboard), and drew onto my converse with a black fabric pen. Then i followed the instructions on the pen and "reinforced it with heat". Thranslation? I ironed on the converse with a sheet of paper inbetween the iron and the fabric pen. (I didn't want to risk ruining the new iron).
