Get crazy wit' the cheese whiz...or Glue...
I recently saw a textured painting tutorial online, and because of my absentmindedness I can't recall where. (Trust me I looked through my history & couldn't track it down.) But it reminded me of a textured painting I did myself & I left hidden in the garage somewhere to be forever forgotten.
The tutorial used some kinda tempura mixture to make the surface "bumpy." Here is my version.

  • How to paint a textured painting. Another Textured Painting... - Step 1
    Step 1

You can salvage an old used canvas if you want. I actually started off with a blank one.
I used craft glue (it's thicker) & drizzled it all over my canvas.
Depending on how crazy you get with the glue, you may need to wait 1 -3 days for the craft glue to completely dry.

Now this is where the other "tempura" project inspired me... I changed the colors...

I used some light blues & greens...

    TA-DA!

Now, I just need to figure out where I'm going to hang it up...

This took me less than 20 minutes only because I had the clue done already... Most likely this can be completed in one weekend. I'm thinking about making more in various single colors & selling them as a set... We'll see.

    Thanks for looking!

I;m going to make one of these, then highlight the raised bits in gold or another contrasting metallic shade. Beautiful, yet so simple! Thankyou for the inspiration xxx
