Cream together the butter and sugar and stir in the vanilla.

Sieve the flour, salt and baking soda together.

Gradually mix together the buttermilk, with the butter and salt until you get a thick dough.

Separate the dough in to five bowls and add red, yellow, blue, green or black food colouring to each.

Line a baking tray and spoon the dough in to small Angry Bird shaped lumps along the tray. Remember to make the yellow ones trianguler Bake at 350' for 15 minutes.

When cool, decorate one half of the pie with royal icing eyes and yellow royal icing beaks. Make green snouts for the pigs and helmets by mixing royal icing with a little black colouring to make grey.

Using the writing icing to add the pupils to the eyes, the snout to the pigs and eyebrows. Ice the other half of the pie with frosting and place the bird on top!
