A fun bag for a biology student
 <  Image 1 of 3  >

I made this bag over the past month from left over black canvas from a jacket, scraps of red, pink and white cotton, and some magenta corduroy for the lining. On the front I sketched a mammalian heart and painted it with fabric and acyrlic paint. Then I outlined the heart with various pink and red embroidery. I also made heart shaped buttons for the front and front pocket from glitter red fimo clay. The insde of the straps, flaps and front pocket are all patchwork with scraps from my stash. On the inside there is one large hidden pocket with a ribbon closure and a smaller pocket with an applique heart for my cell phone. I absolutely LOVE how this turned out. The best part is I made it with all scraps I had from other projects, so the whole thing was free to me!
