I needed a light box and didn't feel like spending the money

I had been using a glass table temporarily, but it needed to go back to it's owner so I had to find a new light box.

Crafts

Instructions

  1. Step 1 1

First you need your mats. Be warned, this will make a big mess!

  2. Step 2 2

You will want to cut the flaps off of the two boxes.

  3. Step 3 3

Then you have to cut the bottoms of the boxes off.

  4. Step 4 4

    MY SCISSORS BROKE!!!! :(

  5. Step 5 5

Hot glue the two boxes on top of each other so they are twice the height and you have a long cardboard tunnel.

  6. Step 6 6

Hot glue the glass to the picture frame.

  7. Step 7 7

Decorate your box using colored paper, paint, marbled paper, etc.

  8. Step 8 8

I put stickers, old cards, and old valentines on mine. If it's not a sticker, you can attach it by cutting a piece of contact paper that is larger than what you want to apply over it and stick it on.

  9. Step 9 9

Then decorate the picture frame. I put little Cat's Eye Decor Stones and buttons (and one googly eye) on mine.

  10. Step 10 10

Cut a little hole towards the bottom of the box to let the cord of the lamp out.

  11. Step 11 11

Place the Lap in the box and pull the cord through the hole in the bottom and place the picture frame over the box. Then you can turn on the lamp and start tracing!!!
