This is a quick guide to making African violet cuttings from which you can grown entire new African violet plants. The cuttings will make roots in water.
1
Using a pair of scissors, cut leaves from the outer part of the plant, near the base of the stem, making an angled cut.
2
Place each leaf in a small jar with just enough water to cover the tip of the stem.
Make sure to keep the leaf part out of the water.
Place the cuttings in a spot that receives sun for at least half the day.
3
In a few weeks the stems will make roots.
When the root structure is strong, you can pot the leaves in soil.
