It's Adventure Time!

A friend of mine loves Adventure Time, so I made her a Finn hat and this Jake the Dog plush. It's a reasonably simple pattern, with most of the work going into hand stitching the face and limbs.

I do not own this character - I'm just a fan. :)

You Will Need

Project Cost

  1. 1

Cut out your pattern pieces. Take two of your big pointy oval shapes and pin them with the right sides together. Sew along one side.

  2. 2

Repeat with the other two pointy ovals.

  3. 3

Place the pairs together, and sew down the third side.

  4. 4

Sew down the last side, leaving a gap for turning ans stuffing.

  5. Step 5 5

Stuff the body. Make sure to make it quite firm.

  6. Step 6 6

    Close your stuffing gap.

  7. Step 7 7

Pin the white eye centres onto the black eye pieces and stitch them.

  8. Step 8 8

Stitch the finished eyes onto the body.

  9. Step 9 9

Pin the muzzle area down where you want it, so that it slightly covers the eyes. Pin the flaps up and stitch down the chin piece, adding some stuffing.

  10. Step 10 10

Pin down your muzzle as it should be and stitch.

  11. Step 11 11

Add stuffing to muzzle area and finish stitching.

  12. Step 12 12

    Pin down nose and stitch.

  13. Step 13 13

    Cut out your ear shapes.

  14. Step 14 14

Fold the ear in half and stitch the edges together.

  15. Step 15 15

Stitch the ear onto the body. Repeat on the other side.

  16. Step 16 16

Sew around the arm, adding stuffing.

  17. Step 17 17

Attach the arm to the side of the body.

  18. Step 18 18

Sew around the leg, adding stuffing.

  19. Step 19 19

Attach the legs to the bottom of the body.

  20. Step 20 20

Stitch the two tail pieces together.

  21. Step 21 21
