I've been wanting a picnic basket for awhile, but have decided to put my own together because the ones I've seen really aren't that cute.

NIGHTTIME PICNICS:
We have movie screenings at the cemetary during the summer, so this is perfect for that. Check out your area to see if you have drive-in movies or concerts in the park. You can also take it to the beach or mountain top and watch the sunset...or just go in the backyard!

  1. Step 1

    CLOTH NAPKINS / KITCHEN TOWEL/BLANKET:
On your black cloth napkins/towel/blanket; you can either stencil in white fabric paint, use an iron-on skull patch or even embroider them to make them match your picnic set.

  2. Step 2

    FLATWARE:
If you purchase knife, forks & spoons with the black handles, then you can stencil a small white skull on those as well...cute!

    WATER BOTTLE:
Purchase a black or stainless water bottle and paint the skull on it.

Don't forget to put the appropriate sealer over your skulls, so that they don't get scratched.

  3. Step 3

    WINE HOLDER:
You can buy an insulated one or sew one with skully fabric.
If you sew one; you may want to leave room to insert a small ice pack to keep the vino chilled!

  4. Step 4

    FOOD CONTAINERS:
If you find some plastic black containers; you can put the skull on there as well.

  5. Step 5

Pack your goodies in a backpack, tote bag, picnic basket...whatever you want. Just make sure that you have enough room for your food.

I found that various appetizers are fun to have instead of a main course. It's easier to eat finger foods...that reminds me; you may want to include a small bottle of hand sanitizer or wet naps, as well ;)

    HAVE FUN!
