How to sew your own kimono using a pattern.
Kimonos are a super fun way to jazz up a Spring outfit. I especially love them worn with ripped jeans and a crop top. Since I had zero luck finding a quality kimono for a reasonable price (most stores carry them in cheap looking fabrics), I decided to make my own and share my DIY with all of you ;)

For this DIY, I used 2 yards of satin fabric in a floral print and 2 yards of fringe for the hem which cost me less than $10 total at our local fabric outlet. Even though it’s fairly easy to sew a kimono without using a pattern (you can find a wonderful step-by-step DIY, here), I decided to use a ready-made pattern (Simplicity Pattern 1726) in order to save on time.
