Instructions

  1. Step 1 1

Start by downloading my 50 States Magnet project and open it in your Cricut Craft Room. Set up your machine and start with the "Map" layer.

  2. Step 2 2

Secure a magnet sheet to your cutting mat and set the pressure to 4 and the blade depth to 3.

  3. Step 3 3

Cut out all of the states and then carefully remove, making sure not to loose any states. Rhode Island is tiny - so keep an eye on this one.

  4. Step 4 4

It's a smart idea to attach all the magnetic states to a metallic surface at this stage.

  5. Step 5 5

Secure the first piece of coloured paper to the cutting mat and reset the pressure to 2 and the blade depth to 2. Select the matching colour layer and set to cut.

  6. Step 6 6

Glue the cut paper shapes to the appropriate state magnets.

  7. Step 7 7

Return the coloured states back to the map.

  8. Step 8 8

Repeat for all of the colour layers until the map is all coloured.

  9. Step 9 9

Set up the cutting mat with your black card and reset the pressure to 3 and the blade depth to 3. Select the "Names" layer and hit cut.

  10. Step 10 10

Glue the names to the corresponding state magnets.

  11. Step 11 11

Return to the map and you're all done!
