You will need in this case 2 old t shirts... place your favorite one on top of the old one that you wont to renew and trace it... cut at the lines....

After that cut the t shirt that you wont to make ribbons of ... you will need long ribbons so make sure that you have lots of fabric

use chalk or something similar to make lines so you can easily track shapes with your ribbons... You can also use already ruffled ones but i have folded mine manually :) it takes a bit longer but it looks good :)
