Hi everyone! Welcome to the birthday-gram thread!

Birthday grams are like happy-grams but are especially for birthdays. On CO+K everyone is friendly and likes to share the love and whats a better way than sending someone a birthday card?

This is an on-going swap. The idea is that I will compile a list of everyone who is participating, with their addresses and birthdays. When someones birthday is coming up I'll e-mail round everyone (apart from the person whose birthday it is) 4 weeks beforehand and everyone will send out a card and a small present. That way the birthday-girl will get a cascade of cards and gifts from all her friends on CO+K.

Sound cool? If you want to take part send me a private message with you name, address and birthday (plus any other info you think I should know). To start with I'll give it a week and then, I'll put up a list of people that are particpating. Since you can join this thread at anytime the list will change as we go on. If you need to opt out at anytime let me know.****EDIT JAN 2013: Since we are now almost at the end of the birthdays for this year (there are 3 left), I am no longer allowing people to join the board fo this round.

*I expect people to send at least one birthday gram, if you quit after your birthday without sending out I will post your name on the incomplete swap list!*

I will consider newbies for this swap but I would prefer if you had at least done happygrams first and I expect you to have a well filled out profile, with at least one favourite and one project.

@Brook: Has your birthday just been? Feel free to still join if you want to because I'm hoping this will be a long running swap like happy grams and so we will eventually get round your birthday again next year. 2 of the birthday's I have already are for next year.

I just thought, if its a big birthday (like your 18th or 21st etc) let me know, then people can send the appropriately numbered card (if they wish).

I had a message from Mary to say she recieved birthday cards and messages but is currently on holiday and will respond properly when she gets back. The other birthday I sent an alert for hasn't actually been yet so ...watch this space.

I never got a message about Mary's birthday?

I didn't send it round everyone as it wasn't an 'offical' birthday gram. The board hadn't opened yet and people were still signing up. Mary had given me about a weeks notice for it so I only sent it to people who I thought were near enough that it would get there in time. I'm sorry rawr.rawr and anyone else who feels that they missed out on this one.

*Update* Applegrass has dropped out, but we still have 9 lovely people on the list.
Unless you're UK you should have sent out the first birthday gram by now and we will hopefully find out from the birthday girl if they were all received next week. I will be e-mailing you all about the next birthday gram alert on monday.
Can people who don't have me as a friend please check their pending friend requests, as it makes it much easier for me to send the round-robin e-mails if you're on my friend list. x

Hi Girls!
Just wanted to say a big thank you for the Happy Grams I have received so far for my birthday (last Sunday), I have a feeling there is at least one more on its way (Pam ^_^) but I have received 2 very thoughtful birthday grams which made the day extra special.

A very cute card AND a crochet Totoro- so cool!

And I also got a lovely handmade card from Essex Debs :)

It has a little fact that her sister used to live on my road, which is so weird! Small world.
Thanks again ladies! I will definitely be taking part in as many of these as possible, such a good idea!

Hayley - Ahh crap I sent you an awesome birthday gift :S I have no idea where its gone. I mailed it out a long time ago. I guess keep any eye out for it, but its about a month past when I mailed it.

Oh no! :( Im sure it is awesome too. I And theres no chance it went to my old address by accident? Or if you mailed it such a long time ago, I only moved in 2 weeks ago so there is a chance it arrived early when the old tenants were living here and they took it :s I will keep an eye out for it!

@Hayley - crap I messed up. Libby sent me the correct address but I wrote it down wrong, I wrote 211B Victoria Rd. I'll message you about it. :(

Oh no! I dont live in a very friendly neighbourhood, so I doubt i'll see it Pam! But i'll pop around with a note asking anyway- thanks for looking into it and thank you anyway for the gift! If they dont have it, will you tell me what it is!? :)

I never got Hayley's new address so I'm not sure if she'll be able to get it somehow

Also, the South African Postal Service was striking when I sent it, so they may have decided to throw away everyone's mail. They've done that before
