Issue : I never recived from her, wouldn't resend.
Solution: 1. I waited a realllly long time. I dont think its ever going to show up, So I asked her if she wanted to resend me something small, like a card and tea or a small plushie. She answered back but never confirmed she would resend.

ABANDONED- I'm giving up on this one, I have to many other awesome partners to keep thinking back to this one :)

Issue: we were supposed to swap one large item, she requested a goth purse. Which I made, it took a lot of time and honestly a fair bit of money. You can see it in my projects. Anyway she was supposed to send me a stuffed animal that was a red fox, not a plushie because it was supposed to be fairly large. I sent out in AUGUST. Kept in touch until October, and haven't heard from her since :(
Solution: first we kept extending her send out date. Now since I haven't heard from her in months I'll message her again (12/15/11) and hopefully she'll answer back

Issue : i mailed my half of the swap 3 weeks ago ( wednesday 2nd november 2011 )
Since the day i told her i had mailed my half of the swap i have never heard back from her. and not received my half.
Not even a message to say that she had received , or would be late sending hers . Nothing .....

i'm so annoyed because i worked so hard on my half of the swap and sent extra things like brads/paper/gems etc.

i know shes also let a few other people down aswell

its not a nice feeling because it makes me feel like i cant swap with other people in case i end up in the same situation, where they don't send out and all my hard work is for nothing.

We have all put messages on the board and they haven't replied about when we can expect to or if we will receive their recipes. After receiving recipes from us it would be nice to know they are planning on returning the favour - it took a long time making 7 recipe pages!

Thanks Jolanda, I know you're not a flaker, you've done swaps with my sister before. I mainly wrote on here about Heather because lots of people seem to be having problems with her but just thought I'd mention the other people who we are waiting to complete the swap. I'll message you in future, look forward to getting your recipe :)

I think Heather must be having problems, as she's normally such a good swapper. I PMed her a couple of weeks back and haven't heard anything. I have the bracelet swap and chunky recipe swap outstanding with her. I've sent my items but not recieved.

If we only have one box and update that, people won't see when we add something new.

Issue: Partner flaked. I sent out her package (not cheap)on November seventh and contacted her to let her know she said she'd be sending mine out before that date and I never recieved it. I've contacted her other times since then and she's ignored my messages while having made other posts on the board.

Solution: I give up on her and suggest that noone else swaps with her.

Issue: For this swap we weren't sending to each other but to a friend each of us nominated. I sent out on the 22nd dec but haven't heard if her friend Megan received. I asked my friend to let me know if she recieved anything but she hasn't so far. I put a lot of thought and time into crafting for this swap (and it was expensive to post) and I'm disapointed that my friend hasn't had anything in return.

Issue : She dropped out of the swap right before send out. Didn't message me, just posted on the board. Said she couldn't finish because she was ill.


Solution: 1.EVEnl and I were each others "swap angles" and made up for both our swaps with Dizzy Disater. :)

Issue : same as Pam, partner flaked though she sent me a personal message saying she was unable to finish the swap due to sickness.
Solution: she is an unreliable swapper, no one should swap with her until she is well.

Why am I on this board I was in hospital so unable to finish my swap. I'd be happy to finish that swap with you now I'm better. It was sudden so I was unable to message you guys sooner I'm sorry

@DizzyDisaster: this board is for people who were flaked on to write who flaked on them and why. There are one thousand reasons for people to flake on a swap, including accidents, hospitalizations and other dreadful stuff, but a lot of people just stop swapping because they've lost interest, or they don't have the time or money to continue.
This board isn't a wall of shame, it is just a warning to other swappers. My opinion is that everybody who returns and says there are good reasons for them flaking (like you), should be given a second chance. First though, I'd contact the people who posted you on this board and I'd offer to complete the swaps you backed off from. It seems like the most sensible thing to do. Most of the times it's not being flaked on that annoys people, is the absence of communication. If you can guarantee now you're better and you're not going to flake again, off you go - you can start swapping again as hard as you want. Just make sure you're not biting off more than you can chew and flaking again.

So I am not sure if it is an incomplete swap but, I mailed out a Happy Gram and I didn't take any photos, because I didn't want to be tempted to post them, then i never found out if my Happy Gram was received, Lovely Mary (charge for Happy Grams) messaged my receiver and still nothing, so I am kind of considering it incomplete, kind of on my part because WTF!? Where is my package, AND!!! what if the post office lost it!? I'd start going to the next town!!!! I want to make sure my stuff is getting out there!!!
I am doing another Happy Gram though, because I received mine and loved it!!!! I also put my name to be an angel, that way it's like a "Happy Gram"
Anyways, I just like swapping!! I want to keep it up!!
