    Art Journal/Mixed bag swap.
2 x 2 Inchies and more types of inchies( open to suggestions for this one !)
    Fibre pages swap.
Would like to have round robin swaps that work.
Paperswap was way cool more like this would be fun.

I would really like to develop a swap hosts group where we could help new hosts and formalize good swapping practices.

Instead of just a dog one Jolanda, how about things like Farm animals or jungle animals or woodland animals themed swaps?? Just a thought...

the 2 x 2 inches is called Twinches isn't it?

How about a scrapbook swap?? Like we each get a scrapbook and we can turn it into whatever, a story or something and we can stick bits and pieces in it?

What about a baby/children themed swap for the mums of CO+K??

    I would love a P5 swap!

I'm hosting a Matchbox Swap after Christmas!

I came up with the idea of a tea party swap this morning when I ran out of my favorite tea--which I could only find in MI, and that is apparently made in Canada.

I thought everyone could send each other a box of tea (something you want from that area but can't get, or something unique that you've never tried, or leave it as a surprise, etc.) and 3 or so small tea-related crafty items?

I also might just go ahead and do this with Johanna, since I know she knows the tea I ran out of... but I also thought it would be fun to do as a formal swap! :-D

    P5? what is it?
    TEA!
love the farm animal idea Lolly Bot!
would like to host but scared, Debs you have a good idea!
    what is Round Robin?

An anime swap would be awesome, and a jewellery swap.

Also, it would be cool to do a pet swap (making items for their pets).

thanks for the link Essex!!! loved the idea of swaping! Specially the tea party swap idea of Witchy Rachie

But I live to far to get a reasonable price shipping to participate... :(

Sweet C, you may be able to find someone to swap with who's not too far from you. I'm also far from most people (I'm in South Africa) and I recently swapped with michelle g who's all the way in Canada! It's expensive but I'm still determined to swap because it's so much fun

rawr rawr, that was my idea of the doggy swap. making items like toys, maybe clothes (if you like it) and ect.
but its a great idea to do it for all pets so other animal lovers also can join!
  16. Posted over 2 years ago
maybe you are right Rawr.Rawr!! I will search for people near me.... girls in Latin America raise your hands!!! hahaha

an anime swap would be cool too!
  17. Posted over 2 years ago
I like Jolandas idea of a pet item swap, I know my rattie would love some hand made toys :p
I Also think the animal swaps would be cool to be in

How about a kitchen swap? I know i love to bake personally so with the swap we could make decorated kitchen utensils( that could still be used) Or like aprons, or send out a family recipe.

Angel Eve, the kitchen swap sounds fun!

I love you Lolly! The baby kind of swap is right up my alley. But I've got to wait until at least February before I can take up another swap. (unless it's a tiny one)

I was thinking about Birthday Swaps, but wasn't really sure how it could be worked out. Like, monthly, everyone with a birthday in that month could swap with each other, or it could be an on going thing like the happy grams where Everyone sends a pm to the host with their b-day and address, and the host pairs them up to get a surprise.

Don't really know how to figure it to be fair. So, someone else might need to think on that one. lol

    LOL I

I don't mean to toot my own horn but I've grown on the scrapbook/scrapbook-storybook idea... after Christmas I may host that and/or the baby/children swap ideas?

Odd- an example of a round robin was the Friendship book swap. There are a number of people involved.Craft passes around the group but mailing seems to be a problem with this one.

Aaaaah Essex Debs, don't say that :'( it sounds like I'm in a round robin in the Not-So-Secret-Santa Swap... We are sending round in one big circle with all the members that have joined the swap!!

I haven't had any problems with the person sending to me but I've had problems communicating with the person I'm sending to. I've contacted her but I haven't heard from her...

I have mentioned these on boards/ crafty friends before but I'd like.

    • Pet Swap- Items for your pet or models, plushies, jewewllery of your pet.

    • Skill Swap- Choose your best skill and swap with someone who has the skill you lack!

    • Vintage Swap- Pick your fave decade and your partner should make you items themed from that era.

    • Colour Swap- Ongoing... small crafty items themed with one or a combination of colours!

Pet item swap would be cool
I really like the idea of a Tea swap
Also the vintage swap sounds like alot of fun

Maybe an Altered book swap? That would leave a ton of room for creativity!

Also what about a photograph postcard swap?
We could just turn a picture we take into a postcard or a greeting card. Landmarks of different cities/countries would be a fun and CHEAP way to "visit" diff. places.
  26. Posted over 2 years ago
oh I like the tea swap too

great ideas, hope we can make them all happen. I think I might start a new one in January
  27. Posted over 2 years ago
Minnie the Vintage, Color, and Skills swap are awesome ideas, so is the pet one, but my dog needs not more things to chew up haha.
  28. Posted over 2 years ago
I also like the idea of a tea swap... although I'd end up going nuts at the nearest Whittard's. I've already unleashed my craziness of Whittard's to Sug (poor Sug)!! I wonder if they still do their hangover tea??

Oh just to set the record straight, I've heard from the person I'm sending to on the Not-So-Secret-Santa Swap.

Ooooooh Vintage swap sounds AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! Also like thhe colour and skill swap.
  29. Posted over 2 years ago
Lolly, that's a roundabout. I think what Essex Debs means is that you send to one person that person 'adds' to it then once they are finished with it they then send it onto the next person and it goes on like that. So not working on separate items but all working on one thing, am I write Debs? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick? :S

    Kitchen Swap sounds ace!!

I think a tea swap was mentioned before and some countries don't allow you to send it overseas :S Would that put a spanner in the works?

Ruby W-That's a perfect explanation for a round robin.Lots of different peoples work in one place often a book.It then gets sent in turn to each person and eventually comes back to the originator.
I agree with Ruby re the tea swap.Posting could be an issue.
I like the idea of a skills swap.Lucy Star and I actually used this as part of our Vets V Newbie Swap-worked well for me :0)
We've had color swaps before I had Ale as a partner so it was amazing.
Lollibot-2x2 inches are indeed called Twinchies.I have a little idea for these in the next couple of weeks.
