Umm! You could put a patch on, or darn it.

It's in a bit of an awkward place though Sad

The jeans look really good anyway!

You could sew a pretty design there, like a flower or a sun something nice and simple Happy

Yeah, you could embroider them by cutting out fabric shapes to cover the areas where there are holes and embroidering around them to make it part of the design - no-one would know the patches were there to cover holes then.

Me and my friends all have low budgets, so when pants wear out we put designs on them

Like, i had the most akwardly placed hole, that if i patched it would look dumb but i couldn't afford to buy new pants but i had a bunch of red, yellow, and orange satin fabrics from some old curtains (that didn't go with the wall color) so i made flames that went up the leg, the bottom was a larger flame that wrapped around the hem of the pants (red as the back the orange and yellow ontop) than placed small to medium ones up both sides of the pants to be like flames flying off a fire, making sure one fit perfectly over top of the hole, and i had a whole new pair of jeans i love ^^

You can patch them (like above^^) or.....make them into something else. And then you'll still have em' but on a bag, blanket, coat, etc.

That reminds me. I have a quilt that is made of jean patches, and fleece on the back. It must have taken ages to make, as i bought it at a craft sale for 75$ (canadian) and its so thick....

Try looking to patching them from the inside out. They have an iron on patch or use stich-witchery from the inside of the jeans. Turn the jeans inside out and cut the patch to fit + plus a little extra. Iron on the patch and it even captures the little threads that are worn out. I used this all the time on my kids worn and tattered favorite jeans and shorts and they lasted through many washings.

You could Cut out old fabrics, with different colours and cut them into same size squares, and sew everywhere on jeans including the tatty bits. make take a while, but it will be worth it! Happy

Also you could cut the bits and make Mini bags.

What u could do if you like a certain design like anchors or peace signs, etc is make/ buy a large fabric applique and put a similar smaller patch on the front. There's also this book from urban outfitters or amazon that has tips on reconstructing jeans, i'll look it up and get back 2 u.
