Etsy shop, its almost here.

Hi, my shop is almost open. My mom's approval is all I need. The shop is called ApothecaryTreasures (The best name I could come up with, all the others were taken.) I'll post a link once its open or if its ever opened.
I want to be a good Etsy shop owner and I want people to like my products. Does anyone have any advise for me?

post good pictures and clear description of product. if you only have pocket cameras, try to edit your picture a bit. but it also depends on your products. what are you selling? I also have an etsy shop and I sell plush.

Right now its just a Potion I call Bottled Night. But I'm thinking of adding miniature versions of the Heart of Kandracar to sell too. You know For The W.i.t.c.h fans

Use natural light as often as possible for your photos. Get a digital camera if you can. If you can't get a digital camera, use the HDR setting on your phone's camera if it has that option. For tablets/phones, there's an app called Aviary that's easy to use and you can tweak the temperature, brightness, and contrast of photos.

I crop all of my shop's photos to squares--it makes the item pages flow better and makes for better default thumbnail views of the item.

if its a miniature then maybe a better quality camera would be more preferable, because you need to capture small details from a small object.

ah ok I see what you mean. just saw the project. yeah I would say the same then, detailed picture from a better camera would do better justice on your product. I know it's not easy, have the same problem here since I only have pocket digital camera with me - but my objects are larger than yours.
