So, we've started a new feature on the site called Crafty Superstar where we'll be featuring crafty celebs and the big names in the craft scene. We've got a list in our heads of who we'd like to have but who would you guys like to see there?

I can't remember her name but the lady from the blog My Little Mochi
She makes awesome mini toys. www.mylittlemochi.typepad.com

I was surprised to see it! I liked it.
I've seen craft persons who turned into spokespersons for products and have done very well.
I remember one fellow in Arizona that goes all over the country displaying and showing some crafty and beautiful things that one can do. Even if the crafty person may be promoting a product as well, it was his craftiness. They have been featuring these persons in the rag I read Somerset Studio out of Newport Beach, CA.

Okay Shivi, we'll track her down!

I don't know anyone but I really love this idea, it makes me feel like I should go around telling people I'm a 'craftster' and we have 'craftstars' to get inspiration from! Just feels like a club that I belong to which is always a nice feeling.

I'm not trying to sound like I'm kissing arse here but if this was going on on another craft site I'd well nominate you Cat, the stuff you make is awesome! I'd also nominate m_m, miquette and grace :D

Hehehe, I was thinking about starting a crafter of the week style thing where we could spotlight some of the awesome members on the site. I'll look in to that more :D

oooh, I like the sound of that

01 Apr 17:52
I absolutly love my little mochi. I'd love her to do some how to's for us!

02 Apr 13:41
yeah, My Little Mochi is probably my favourite blog

Cat-I think it would be better if there was a crafter of the month not the week as it would make it more special and then only the best would get it as it wouldn't come around that often.

I read all 36 pages of my little mochi, that woman does sooooo much why isn't my life that interesting, I'll have to make it more so!

02 Apr 19:19
Okay Shivi, we can do that instead. How does everyone else feel about that?

02 Apr 20:46
Yeah- maybe it should be done by nominations.

02 Apr 21:14
That's a good idea Roma.. I want to make a crafty questionnaire for the crafter of the month to fill out too.

02 Apr 22:47
This all sounds great. I don't know the names of anyone to put forward for the crafty superstar. I'm not very up on my crafty blog stuff.

03 Apr 01:08
That's okay, but does everyone like the new Crafty Superstar section? I'd have asked for your approval beforehand but I wanted it to be a surprise :)

03 Apr 11:40
YEAH! especially now it's Justina Blakeney.

06 Apr 12:02
I just realised I'd quite like to see Julie Arkell, and also Eithne Farry.

07 Apr 08:11
yeah, I really like it-good idea

02 Jul 14:47
Okay, I've emailed everyone you asked for. Is there anyone else you'd like to see?

This girl is great, and she'd probably love the opportunity: http://magic-fingers.blogspot.com/

I havn't heard of my little mochi, but I'm going there right after I post.

I really love this idea [and especially queenfairypants word "craftstar", THAT BRILLIANT :D] but I have only been in the craft community for... maybe less than a month... eh. I think I'd like to see [because I don't know any names, but people in general] who do mostly recycling crafts. I'm not sure if there is a craftstar out there with that whole thing going, but if there IS, I'd like to see them. :D

I really love the idea of a crafter of the month.
Perhaps a link could be added to postings, "Nominate this craft for Project of the Month".

I know my site could seriously use the exposure.

Some of my favorite crafty people are Greg Der Ananian, who put together the Bizarre Bazaar book, Sarah of Girl Land (who is almost my neighbor!), Teresa Levy of Sewing Stars, and Heather Bailey of course. I'd like to move into her house, but I'm a bit too old for her to adopt :P
