Who thinks CO+K should make an IPod/IPhone/IPad/Android/BlackBerry app??

Don't have an "I" anything but, yeah, that would be awesome.

that would b so cool, having the how-to's avaliable, if it worked in offline mode to.
BUT it costs like £80 to become an app developer with apple, you get the tool necessary for making an app, i dont know if CO+K makes any money, but i would pay for the app

I dont leave the house very often , so I wouldnt use it, but Im sure lots of other people would..smile

I think they make a little bit of money from advertisements, but I imagine a lot of it goes on the running costs of the site. They obv wouldn't be able to afford to do a free one, especially if it costs £80 to become a developer with apple (not sure how anyone could do a free app if it costs this much?!). But it's worth mentioning to cat or tom, see what they think.

apps are free because of the adverts, maybe other apps and in-app purchases for extra content or to remove the ads

Oh my gosh! I totally thought of that! It would be awesome to have a CO+K App. I have an iPod touch so it would be great to have a crafting App that didn't require an internet connection!

just fyi, on the apple website it says it cost $99 a year for the developer programme http://developer.apple.com/programs/ios/
they can either pay a developer to do an app or do it themselves. http://developer.apple.com/devcenter/ios/index.action - doesnt mention a cost that i could see

i haven't but if they charge like .99 cents in the US all of us who could buy it they cold make money

Huh, that would be great. I have an offline reader app on my iPod, and our internet service is terrriblleee, so every time it goes down I just open up one of the creations I was gonna try and I go do that 'till its back on :P

If I could do that from the main site itself, plus go online and maybe upload creations WITH pictures, then I would gladly pay $.99 or $1.99 for an app :)
