I have the same problem with jeans falling off my waist when they fit my hips, but I LOVE belts. I think if you make small darts in the waistband you can fix the bumcrack issue though!
Yeah, my friends joke that all of my bras are boulder holders, lol. Sadly it can't be far from the truth because I have had straps on my bras and some woven tank tops just tear off! =/ And jogging is a nightmare because it's like a basketball game going on under my shirt. >.< You are not cursed if you have a smaller bust, trust me. If people make fun of you, it's probably just jealousy because back pain sucks!!
Lauren, be sure to get a blender that has a price low enough that you won't feel bad about ruining it.
Claire--lamps sound so cool!
I am thinking about making metal plates (from pop cans) for the fronts of my platform boots. I have so many screws laying around from building my PC last year and I want to use them up, lol.

I'm itching to try my hand with air dry clay to see what cut little trinkets I can make but I literally have NO experience in it and my actual design flare is a little lacking...
Besides that I am itching to make some more items for an upcoming craft fair. Little bits that I've seen on this site and have added to my To-Do list. I've just satisfied one of the itches and made a Finn and Jake brooch :D

Tracy- That really does help, I thought of the pear shape after a I asked if bust and hip are the same... That would be hour glass, I think I may be a pear.... but! My hips are narrow, but bigger than my bust... I will look up those shapes! I am totally interested in this shapes and measurements... The face part is interesting.. I have an oval or long face too.. hmmm
"Watermellons" that is funny. I get called the leader of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee.. :/ I guess we all really have to make adjustment to store bought clothes, they are just a general human template... lol But a good question now is....!!!! My hips are always fitting in jeans but I always have to wear a belt because they can't stay on my waist and I get CRACK so bad!!! I think it is so nasty and trashy, but my butt always wants to see what's going on... how do you fix jeans to stop doing this so you may forego a belt...?

Often when I see a project, there is a sign that says "Download PDFtoDOC". Is this how I get the projects? If I click and download this, will the project come with it? Is this download okay? Just asking before I do this, as I've done this on other sites and the program takes over my HP printing settings. I appreciate your help ahead of time. Thank you!

Even though resin is meant to be poured, you can definitely "paint" with it. I'm not sure how well a delicate craft butterfly would hold up, but don't let that stop you. (I never follow "rules" when crafting - and usually encounter surprises. Sometimes happy, sometimes not so much - but I always learn something.) To protect the integrity of the butterfly I would take a really small brush and carefully/gently brush on some Mod Podge, Collage Pauge, or watered down white school glue. I would let that dry (won't take long), then do a couple more thin coats. It will add to the rigidity of your butterfly, also.
Once you've applied 3-5 thin coats - and let each coat dry before adding the next - then I would paint it with resin. Or you could even try lightly drizzling a very small amount over the top of the butterfly, then using a toothpick or tiny brush you can pull the resin down the butterfly and see what happens. It should be a lot easier to manipulate the resin with the decoupage medium already applied and dry. I hope this helps at least a little! :)

I used a blender to make pulp. Here's how I used to do it: soak paper scraps in a large bin of water for 10 minutes (or even overnight if the paper is very thick). Blend with plenty of water, 1 small aspirin pill, and a dime-sized amount of paper glue. The aspirin prevents molding and preserves the paper, and the glue will help with bonding. Once you use a blender for papermaking, you don't want to use it for food again.
If I make paper this summer, I'll make sure to post a tutorial :)
I just have to get through tonight and tomorrow afternoon until I can be back at my craft station to mod more shirts! I got 2 tank tops to stencil band logos on, and shirts to make the half & half shirt I want to make. I got a twist front tank that I'm adding chains to for some cool detail.
Summer is going to be tough. I spend half the week at my apartment and the other half at my fiance's mom's house. @.@

Mascara can be very damaging. Wearing it on eyelashes too often can actually thin and ruin your eyelashes. A lot of mascaras can also be irritating to the eyes, which it's a lot more likely to get to when used as an eyeliner.
Eyeliner is more specialized for being used directly around the eyes for a reason. Plus it's typically cheaper for a decent eyeliner pencil than it is for cheap mascara, same with expensive stuff, too.
You typically never want to repurpose makeup unless it's the 100% natural mineral kind, which is safer on any part of the face/body.

You'll want to sew in a zigzag pattern like the sewing machine would create.
If it's eating your thread, it could be a number of problems. It might need to be oiled, the tension might be too high, or some lint might be trapped under the feed dogs. Consult your machine's manual on how to properly oil it (if you don't have the manual, you can usually request or download one from the manufacturer's website). The manual should also show you the proper tension and stitch settings for various types of fabric.
To check for lint under the feed dogs, you'll need to take the sewing plate part off carefully and check around with tweezers.
Also always check to make sure the machine is threaded properly, both for the bobbin and the top thread. Improper threading can cause a lot of problems.

okay. so my sewing machine went all crazy on me. it keeps eating my thread and sticking down in the bobbin.(hay if anyone knows how to fix this it would be awesome :D ) but my question would be how to hand sew a dress. i have something i was trying to make but i cant figure out a good hand sewing stitch to keep it together. the straight stitch and the overcasting type stitch wasn't working out too well on a i guess i should add STRETCH material. any suggestions??
