I watched Cloverfield, it's one of those films that's best on the big screen even though my bf has a big wide screen tv it's just not the same! Can't wait for the sequel.

Personally I don't really like the normal crochet that much, I like the amigurimi(I think that's how you spell it) but to do that I need to learn the basic crochet skills.

K@ti- yeah post your crow! you need to post more of the stuff you make!

If you haven't had much experience I wouldn't reccomend you do this first off, it's quite intricate, start on some more basic items maybe using a pattern.

Hey everyone, I'm sorry if this is seen as spam (Sorry Cat, I hope you don't mind me advertising this here!) - basically I'm starting my own photography business in Dundee,Scotland and I need to do a wee bit of market research to find out what people really want. I have an online form which takes a minute to fill out, and as an incentive I'm offering money off my photography services if you are in the general area. It's very important to me to find out exactly what people want, from all areas of life, when it comes to photo services, regardless of where in the world you are!

To fill in my form, please visit: www.kirstylegg.com/fullform.php

Your details will be used only as collective statistics, and nobody but myself will see the individual answers.

    Thanks a million billion,

    - Kirsty

here is one i just wrote moments ago.

    A couple’s day

    Alone, just alone.
    Two in one room.
    But yet so far away.
    Wanting and needing.
Feelings of unwanted and not needed.
    Wondering and dreaming
Seeing if tomorrow will be the day to have it all.
    Crying and sulking.
    Tearing and ripping.
    The heart is discarded.
Cruelty to the soul, mind and heart.
    Alone, just alone.
    Two in one room
    But yet so far way.
The distraction makes it harder to say whats on the mind.
    Demanding and providing.
Environment of love waiting to bloom.
The darkness of loneliness is all said in one loud silent scream.
    Banging and kicking.
Wondering when that lover’s embrace will make its mark.
    Alone, just alone.
    Two in one room.
Silence between the couple who said “I do.”
Torn in half wanting understanding and a nice long chat.
Fear of rejection and solitude of the soul.
One can scream and kick all they want.
    Soon to realize one’s defeat.
    Not giving up.
Just taking a moment to breathe.
    Sleep and dream.
    Wake and be refresh.
    Alone, maybe.
    Two in one room.
And together once more in a lover’s embrace.

I don't have all that much experience with sewing clothing so I'm not sure how to go about making this dress from my favorite anime...

You can get tape made for holding up dresses and holding back bra straps. I'd recommend it if you've got to move in a dress like that.

    If I haven't tried it, I'm interested.

Crochet would be nice to go with my very basic knitting skills.

Sewing (I have a sewing machine I've borrowed from a friend under my roof. Just got to figure out how to work the darn thing.)

The first time I skim-read that, I thought the books were about dogs that got posted! I thought that sounded like an odd book.

Next year for English I have to read Tess Of The D'Urbevilles (I've probably spelt that wrong), The French Lieutenant's Woman, Hamlet (easy, my favourite Shakespeare) and loads of War Literature, including Birdsong by Sebastion Faulks. But it's great cause we can read any books we want to do with war, real or fake or whatever, so I can read Catch 22 again, as well as a few other books I've had on my shelf for a while.

    Soooooooooooo much to read.

I need to pick up a new craft, actually. I was thinking maybe crocheting. I'd love to do dress making but I'm not sure I have the patience. Something like soldering would be awesome, to make something REALLY cool like this tutorial I found on how to make old vintage headphones into new ones (I think I found it on Craftser).

I'm not sure what else though..

What sort of crafts have you not done but want to do?

Here are some of mine:paper quilling, quilting, bullions, ribbon embroidery, stamp making, crochet, embroidery, dress making, decoupage. I'm currently just starting plushie making in my childcare class and i have to make one for my swap partner so that should be interesting.

    Okay, it's your turn now......
